Hummus is such a great snack in and of itself. Packed full of protein and good fats, it’s good with crackers, veggies of any kind, even on sandwiches, stuffed or rubbed on a grilled chicken…it’s a tasty, versatile dip.
Hummus is also great because it’s really easy to make homemade…using only natural ingredients. Plus there are endless flavor combinations that you can add to mix things up..
Then you add ranch to the equation.
I could do a whole post, and maybe will, just on the many fantastic uses for a packet of ranch seasoning. Season meat with it, add it to sauces, to mac and cheese, to potato salad, to soups, again, I’m rambling.
So it makes sense that these two great ingredients would combine well together, creating a light and flavorful, and yet still really healthy snack.

- 1/2 lemon zest + juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- salt & pepper to taste
- Combine all ingredients except olive oil in a food processor. Stream the olive oil in while pulsing and blend until smooth, pausing to scrape the sides down a few times.
