I know it’s still early September, but after the year we’ve had, I’m MORE than ready to jump into the fall spirit. I’m getting so excited for sweater weather, changing leaves, and all the fall recipes. Starting with these 5 coffee and cold brew recipes for fall, made with all the cozy flavors of the season.
For me, it’s the little things that that help me stay mindful, and make the most of each moment and each day. Something as simple as making a special coffee recipe in the morning can change my outlook for the entire day, making me stop and soak in what I’m tasting, and the feelings and memories connected to it. And right now is the start of my favorite time of year, so I want to take full advantage of any excuse to embrace the season a little more.
Each of these recipes contain super simple add-ins and toppings to infuse your coffee with all of our favorite fall flavors, like pumpkin, warm cinnamon, sweet maple, buttery pecan, and more. Plus, you can adjust the sweetness or spice level to fit your taste along the way. Whether you want to start your day with a little festive kick, or curl up in the evening under a blanket, just 5 extra minutes and that first sip will have you feeling like you’re falling into a pile of autumn leaves.
You don’t need anything fancy to make these yummy autumn drinks — just a regular coffee maker and a cold brew maker, or some of your favorite pre-made cold brew from the store. You’ll also need an electric mixer or whisk to make some of the flavored fall toppings.
Quick note about cold brew makers: I LOVE my Filtron Cold Brew Maker. A friend recommended it to me years ago, and I’ve been hooked. It’s an inexpensive investment and couldn’t be easier to set up… plus it makes weeks of concentrate at a time. Can’t recommend enough if you love cold brew! You can check it out here. It’s out of stock at the moment, but hopefully that will change. Here’s another great option to check out in the meantime.
I plan to be drinking these fall flavored coffee infusions all season long, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Keep scrolling and get the recipes!
5 Coffee & Cold Brew Recipes for Fall
Pumpkin spice has got to be one of the most classic fall flavors at this point. And there’s no need to go our for a PSL (they’re a little too heavy for me anyways, anyone else?), with this easy coffee hack instead. Sprinkle a little bit of spice into your coffee grounds before you brew them, and you’ll have your whole kitchen smelling like a bakery in minutes.
Cinnamon rolls are one of my favorite weekend splurges this time of year. Those warm creamy flavors of vanilla and cinnamon feel like being wrapped up in a hug. Recreate the flavors and feeling of the decadent treat by infusing your coffee grounds with spice, and topping your mug off with silky vanilla cinnamon whipped cream.
I seriously can’t get enough of this one lately. I love anything infused with maple during the fall months, and this Maple Pecan coffee is everything I want in a morning drink. Toasty, buttery pecan flavored coffee, sweetened with a little maple syrup, and topped with luxurious maple whipped cream. It’s creamy, nutty and sweet. You won’t be able to stop sipping.
Some of my favorite pecan coffees include:
- Lola Savannah Texas Pecan
- Starbucks Maple Pecan
- Coffee Junkie Southern Pecan
- Mozart’s Texas Pecan Whole Bean
There’s almost nothing I love more than a mason jar full of cold brew, and this recipe takes things to another level. A hint of vanilla and almond extract and organic raw honey make for the perfect combination of flavors, with almond milk to finish everything off and add creaminess. This is also a low-calories coffee option that still let’s you indulge in the seasonal flavors.
Might have saved the best for last, because this pumpkin cream cold brew recipe is probably my favorite of the bunch. Real pumpkin is whipped into the sweet, fluffy cream that gets poured right over a fresh glass of cold brew or iced coffee. Whether you shake it all up right away, or let the cream slowly infuse as you take each sip, this drink hits the spot. I’ll be coming back to it all season.
